Logan's&SilverHawks

Grandma Egolf called us on Thursday so see if we wanted FREE tickets to the SilverHawks game on Sunday....sure we did! We did not realize that Sunday's are always "family" day...which means all the kids get a coupon for a FREE hot dog and small soft drink.

Since we didn't realize the girls would get hot dogs and pop at the game, we went to their favorite restaurant for lunch....Logan's! yummy! Of course, their favorite part about going here is not only the unlimited peanuts but the fun that comes with throwing them on the floor!

Between all the peanuts and the delicious rolls, I wonder if you would really have to order a meal? So much food, but oh, so yummy!

Kaicee wanted daddy to take a silly picture of her chowing down her delicious roll!

Breck defenetley enjoyed the peanuts more than anything! After she ate some of her lunch, she pushed it aside and went back to the peanuts :)

ND students were at the game raising money for Riley's Children's Hospital and were giving away pins and tatoo's, so we had to partake! Taylor was pretty excited about getting a tatoo like her big sisters!

Daddy and his girls...Breck and Kaicee. Of course, Taylor was glued to my lap :)

Seriously mom, do we really need ANOTHER picture?!?
....YEP :)

Taylor enjoying her hot dog and pop....yes, we really did allow them to get these even though we ate lunch! Needless to say, they didn't eat a whole lot of supper!

"Swoop"! The girls loved watching the mascot.

Kaicee was very tired by the time the game was finished! She impressed me with how much she actually followed the game and knew what was going on....I didn't even pay attention that close :)

At the conclusion of the game, everyone was allowed to go down to the field and run the bases. The girls thought this a blast!
What a fun day!...thanks grandma!

WhatADeal!

Just got back from a date night with my hubby! We had a few gift certificates and coupons to use before they expired so we headed to Mishawaka:
  1. Our first stop was Olive Garden where we enjoyed a Free dinner of salad, breadsticks, Dr. Pepper, and endless pasta bowls...the only part of the meal we had to pay for was the tip! What made it even better was that they allowed us each to order another bowl of pasta and more breadsticks when we were done to put straight into a to go box...lunch tomorrow! (A big thank you to our wonderful friends who gave us the gift card!)
  2. Next we headed to JCPenney so I could use a coupon that expired today. I found a very cute little grey cotton* dress (tired to take a pic but it looked like an amish dress...you'll have to wait to see it til I wear it). The original price was $40 (*cotton, nothing fancy) but the sign said it was marked down to $19.99. Still more than I wanted to spend but I had a coupon...the dress ended up ringing up at $14 and with my $10 coupon, I paid a whopping $5.34! WooHoo!
  3. Brooks had a gift certificate from Barnes & Noble so he was able to indulge in a couple good books he has had his eye on.....
  4. .....while I found some more good deals at Charlotte Russe. Nothing near as exciting as my dress but everything in the store was 25% off!

What a fun night with my hubby!

TaytorBug

Last weekend, Taylor had a chance to have some daddy time all by herself!....

....this is what she learned!

Taylor loves to play with her babies, almost as much as she loved her blessed paci...too bad she threw it overboard while out on grandpa's boat a few weeks ago. We had a couple rough "nigh-nights" where she layed on her bed and cried as though she had lost her best friend. She finally became "o-tay" with the fact that she had thrown it in the "wadoo" for the "feeshees".

Today, she found her baby's outfit with an attached paci and was very excited to put it in place...only after trying it out herself first!

After delighting in giving her baby her much needed paci, she discovered that her baby was "poopy" so she had to change her....

She is such a goofball!

This is the face she makes to show off her freshly brushed teeth :)

2ndGradeFriends

Kaicee started out the school year with feelings of anxiety and wanting to be homeschooled for fear of missing me too much while away at school. Although the idea of homeschooling has crossed our minds, I knew that she would have another great year with her friends. When I went to pick her up from her first day of second grade, she came running out with a huge smile and announced, " I love Mrs. Hahn!" She then informed me that I would not have to homeschool because she loves her teacher!

WhatDoesA6:15BedtimeMean?

....it means that Breck is extremely tired! Wow! It's amazing what lack of sleep can do to a four year old. She has shed lots of tears tonight but is now sleeping peacefully. I pray that tomorrow will be a better day, especially since Kaicee starts school tomorrow.

Speaking of school...I can't believe that Kaicee will be starting 2nd grade tomorrow! Holy cow! Where has the time gone? She's is excited yet anxoius about leaving me all day. She has decided that she wants to be homeshcooled so she doesn't have to be away from me all day. Awe, I love her! I don't think that she has realized this would also mean being home with Breck all day too :) They love each other, but boy are they ready to have some time apart!

I'm looking forward to getting back into our routine and hope I'll get lots of one on one time with each of the girls this year. Breck will be starting preschool so that will allow me some time to spend with just Taylor....not something I've had too much of. Taylor still takes naps everyday but Breck rarely does, so this will allow for some much needed time with Breck. I'm hoping to be able to get some time in with Kaicee during the evenings...she loves to scrapbook with me so we may just have to take advantage of a few late Friday nights :)

With school starting, I' also looking forward to trying to make it to some of the high school football games. Kaicee especially loves going so she can see her classmates and teachers as well as to watch the cheerleaders. Breck enjoys the games for at least half of it. Taylor, not too sure about that! We'll see!

INeedHelp!

Well, so far....NOT so good :( I tried posting some pics but it's not going so well. It's taking forever to upload and they are coming up backwards from the order I've selected them. Also, I'm assuming I have to rotate them before I post because it won't let me do that either?! Grr! Do I have to upload all my pics first and then put my text in where I want it? Anyone feel free to help me out here!

HereGoesNothing...

Alright, let's see if I can do a better job of blogging now. I've missed it for quite a while and decided I'd take it up again. It may take me some time to get everything set up, so bear with me. I've got lots to say :)
