ChosingToDiscover

There seems to be an underlying theme in my life lately.  Everywhere I go, everyone I talk to, everything I read or watch, everything I am involved in...seems to have the same impact on my life right now.

As I walk through some tough things in my life right now, the toughest seems to be that of being honest.  Honest with myself and those around me who care about and love me.  Honest with God.

Who or what am I living for?  Who or what is it that I am choosing to make priority in my life?

So many times, we choose to please the world..and those who are of the world.  We are more concerned with how we look to those around us...and less concerned about how God sees us.  We get so caught up in doing "good things" and things that make us "look good".

What about the look that God has chosen for us?  What about the person He created us to be?

We all have a past.  We all have things that we are not proud of.   These are all scars that we carry...but we must choose to not let those scars hover over us and darken our life.  We must choose to let go of those past hurts and discover the life that God wants us to live.

During a conversation today, I was struck by something the other person said....

"Stop creating and start discovering who you are."

God has a plan for our lives.  He made each one of us and He cares about us deeply.

Today, I am choosing to stop creating who I think I am and start discovering who God has called me to be.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is one of my absolute favorite children's books.  After reading it with Taylor today, we decided to make our own coconut tree.

We grabbed some supplies and got to work.

Tada!  Here is our coconut tree ;)
