Today

...was a great day.

Full of a variety of emotions.

Tired, as I crawled out of bed at 5:30am so I could work out with Jillian before starting my day.

Happy, as I watched my cold and tired little girls curl up in their hooded bath towels on the heated tile after getting out of the shower.

Sad, as so many "little" things sent tears to my eyes as I remembered my dad. Ever had one of those days where everything you see and do reminds you of someone you wish was still there beside you?

Excited, as I walked into service for the first time in way too many weeks.

Humbled, as I listened to Pastor Jeremy talk about Epic and how God is working in our church! I had no desire to come to Epic when Brooks decided he was ready for this new adventure...now God is allowing me to be a part of something so awesome!

Challanged, as God convicted me to be HIS voice everytime I speak. Not just some times, but EVERY time.

Excited, as Brooks, Kaicee, and I crowded in the kitchen together to get supper ready for our friends who were coming over. Friends whom we had let too much time come between now and the last time we hung out.

Thankful, as I sit here now...for so many things! Precious memories. Great friends. Three beautiful little girls. A wonderful husband. Unconditional love from Him...that I don't deserve.

Today...was a great day!

Wowza!!!

$625.37!!! Who in there right mind would even think of walking out of Old Navy having spent that much money all in one trip?!?!

Not I. That one is for sure!

I refuse to pay full price for just about anything...and it makes me cringe when the price tag for ANYTHING is more than $20-$30.

I haven't necessarily always been that way. I am married to a very "frugal" man. Since our marriage of ten and a half years, he has had some time to "mold" me into someone very different than I was when we met. The first couple years were tough...what can I say? This girl likes to shop!

I've always liked a good deal but when the majority of the money must go to bills instead of fun, you learn to shop a little wiser.

Here are the bags from our little shopping spree tonight (5 in all):

The receipt:

The goods:

For Mom:
black jeggins
fleece pullover
2 turtle necks
1 long sleeve thermal
2 short sleeve t's
4 tanks
1 fabulous black ruffly skirt
1 super cute plaid tunic/dress

For Kaicee:
9 long sleeve shirts
2 long sleeve thermals
1 fleece hoodie
1 jacket*

For Breck:
6 long sleeve shirts
2 long sleeve thermals
1 jacket*

For Taylor:
5 long sleeve shirts
2 long sleeve thermals
2 pair of black tights
1 jacket*

*Added bonus: All the girls jackets match!

Dad didn't find anything worth his time or money. Bummer for him.

So, how much do YOU think I spent????

I have a very good notion to end this post right now and let some of you take a wild guess at how much I spent. $625.37 is how much I would have had to pay at full price, including sales tax.

Because I am so excited about my great deals tonight, I will choose not to leave you all hanging. Every single item I purchased was on clearance. All clearance items were an additional 40% off. (Thanks to Shannon for making me aware of this great sale.) When we got to the check out, we discovered that everything was an ADDITIONAL 25% off since we were using our Old Navy card!!! After subtracting the $40 rewards card that I had as well, my grand total was a whopping......

SCORE!!!!

And to make Taylor's night complete, she got to play with "Barky" while we checked out.

That girl LOVES to play with that silly dog! Every single time we go in that store, she asks to pet him. Tonight, first thing, she asked if she could play with him while I checked out.

TaylorBrynne

I know that my previous post was about this adorable little munchkin, but I just can't get enough of her lately! Everyday after Breck heads off to Kindergarten, Taylor has my undivided attention for about an hour, until nap/rest time. I have been soo enjoying the time we spend together!..and I'm learning alot from her. She is so carefree. Nothing is ever serious. So often, this drives me crazy about her!...not the last couple days. I have tried my best to embrace her personality and even try it on for size. It's amazing the things we can learn from our little ones!

RedRover

Taylor has been very interested in learning her ABC's after her neighbor buddy, Micah, introduced them to her this summer. To be honest, I had not been working with her on this very well. After playing with Micah and his foam bathtub letters and numbers, she was determined to get her own set. She played with them quite a bit when we first bought them but, as with most toys, they were tossed aside after awhile. Recently, we have been pulling them out again.

Today I designated as an official "Lazy Day"...no getting dressed...at least for mom! Lots of reading, puzzles, games, and playing. Most importantly, lots of fun! As I write this post, I am getting an amazing up-do by, The All-To-Famous...Taylor.

Back to my point...Taylor's ABC's...and Red Rover. This is a great game that Taylor got as a Christmas present from Grandma Egolf. Any of you readers who have little ones, I highly recommend this game! We had a blast racing each other, trying to find the correct color, number, shape, or letter that Rover calls out. Once you find the correct bone, you place it in his mouth to see if you are right...and then you get to keep it! The player with the most bones at the end, WINS!

Once the game is finished, all the bones fit nicely inside Rover's backpack:

*Please excuse the random code above the picture. I'm not sure exactly what I did, but I got the pics on that I wanted, so I'm not gonna mess with it!

Taylor is super excited that I have agreed to let her leave her new buddy on her dresser instead of putting him to bed, back in the game cupboard.

AnneOfGreenGables

We finally sat down today and finished watching Anne of Green Gables...Kaicee and I may have sat and cried.
